In order to have the best driving experience, your auto glass must be in top shape—both damage-free and sparkling clean. Whether your car is new or used, follow these tips to keep your auto glass crystal clear:
You should create a routine of cleaning your car windows at least every other week in order to keep them looking their best. Try to clean your windows out of direct sunlight so that the water does not evaporate and leave streaks, and be sure to use a good-quality glass cleaner with minimal harmful chemicals.
Make sure to spend extra time cleaning the windshield and back window, as they are the panels you use every day for driving. While you wash your windows, you should simultaneously dry them so that you do not leave any water streaks. When the sun hits dry water streaks, it can make visibility difficult.
Park in the Garage
Consider using your garage or parking in covered spaces while you are out to protect your auto glass. Windshields expand and contract in the heat and are prone to cracking. If your car is out of the elements, then it is less likely to be damaged by wind, weather, or burglary.
Prevent Accumulation of Frost and Bugs
If you do not have a garage and you live in a cold environment, then you can still prevent frost from forming overnight. By spraying a mixture of one part water and three parts vinegar onto your windshield at night, frost should not be an issue the next morning. Similarly, if you put some vinegar water into your windshield spray reservoir, then the spray will act both as a repellant and a cleaner.
